Much like any other criminal CEO they jumped back at the charges with denial and self defence.As a regular flyer I will not fly with AA, what makes me angry is the predictable response from these guys, they JUST DON'T GET IT....whether it is Enron, BP etc etc...they get caught red handed and they go on the defensive instead of owning up to their screwup.
